Building Permits
Prior to starting construction, you may require a building permit.

The following information is available for download.

RVBS application form for a building permit
Summary of RVBS setback requirements

You will also need to include various drawings and plans with your application.  Our building inspector's web site provides descriptions of the information that needs to be included by you, depending on the type of project you are undertaking.  Click here to visit that web site where you can download the checklist specific to your particular building project.

The completed application form and additional information should be submitted to the village administrator who will forward the package to the building inspector for his review.  See the Contacts page.

Household Garbage
Household garbage can be disposed of in the blue bins behind the ball diamond.  Please do not dispose of other waste, building materials, used furniture, etc. in or around the blue bins.  See information on Other Garbage and Refuse below.

Trees, Shrubs, Wood and Reed Disposal
These organic materials can be disposed of in the fenced/gated area near the main entrance to the resort.  A key for the gate can be obtained from the mayor or from one of the councilors.  Please note that pressure treated or stained wood cannot be disposed of at this location.

Other Garbage and Refuse
Other garbage items can be disposed of for a small fee at any of three Landfills.  Click on the links below to view a map.

Recycling
We have exchanged one of our blue garbage bins for an orange recycle bin.  There's a slot in the back of the bin in which you can insert your items.  Items that can be recycled include paper, cardboard, pop cans, tins, milk jugs, plastic containers and Tetra Paks, but not Styrofoam or glass. And no sorting is required! With your help, we can make this a greener place on a greener planet.
